Introduction To Radar Warning Receivers
The final output of the Signal Detection component of the RWR is an Input Buffer. An Input Buffer is a series of PDWs that were collected during a single look. The Input Buffer is processed by the RWR software to determine what type radar (or radars) transmitted the pulses

Doe Fundamentals Handbook Classical Physics
The Classical Physics Fundamentals Handbook was developed to assist nuclear facility operating contractors provide operators, maintenance personnel, and the technical staff with the necessary fundamentals training to ensure a basic understanding of physical forces and their properties. The handbook includes information on the units used to measure physical properties; vectors, and how they are used to show the net effect of various forces; Newton's Laws of motion, and how to use these laws in force and motion applications; and the concepts of energy, work, and power, and how to measure and calculate the energy involved in various applications. This information will provide personnel with a foundation for understanding the basic operation of various types of DOE nuclear facility systems and equipment.

Communications Core Meets 3g Wireless Handset Challenges
THIRD-GENERATION (3G) mobile handsets may still be in the prototype stage, but analysts predict that by 2004, global sales of digital cellular handsets will be on the order of $994 million ( . 1) . While slated to offer a wide range of services, including voice, data, location assistance, audio, still pictures, and streaming video, these complex and multipurpose devices will form the foundation for applications and services that are yet to be imagined.

Small Surface Coal Mine Operators Handbook
interpret the Regulations of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (Public Law 95-87) (hereafter referred to as the Act) as they affect the operators of small surface coal mines (a small mine operator is defined in the Act as one with an annual coal production of less than 100,000 tons). Further, the purpose of this handbook is to make it easier for the small operator to compare his operation with the act in order to determine compliance with the regulations.

Emi Design Techniques For Microcontrollers In Automotive Applications
describes some recent Intel sponsored research efforts that investigate EMI to on- boardFMradio receivers. Several different design ap-proacheswere tested, using both two layer and multilayer circuit boards. The test program was based on an ABS (anti-lock braking system) control module that uses the Intel 80C196KRmicrocontroller. The results and recommended "low noise" design concepts, however, apply to any microcontroller design used in vehicular applications.

Finite Element Analysis Of Instability In Hypoelastic Materials
Assess the performance of the finite element method in analyzing the bifurcations of compressible materials. The specific objective is to understand the significance of the eigenvectors of the tangential stiffness matrix by comparing them with the analytical bifurcation modes which were obtained independently in the case of the plane strain compression of compressible hypoelastic materials. Although tested for a particular example, the finite element method can be applied to analyze the instability of more complicated boundary value problems encountered in the fields of Solids Mechanics, Structural Geology, and Geomechanics.

Piping Design: An Introduction For Non Piping Engineers
This paper attempts to explain some of the salient piping activities (along with their sequence) and interaction with other disciplines during detail engineering. Piping Engineers and Designers may find some of it too rudimentary. This is deliberate. The constraints have not been touched upon. Moreover, any single write-up based on a typical job cannot do justice to vast number of activities that a piping team performs.
