Q) Why do I see a partial screen in a tutorial?
A) Use the right scroll bar to view the rest of the screen.
Q) Nothing happens when I click on the SAP Tutor icon on my desktop?
A) This icon is the Tutor software only. Double-click on a tutorial (.sim file) and it will open.
Q) I have been told I need the SAP GUI loaded on my PC. What is this mean?
A) The SAP GUI is the SAP software that is loaded on your PC if you have an SAP role other than
ESS. All Tarrant County users have access to the web-based ESS. However, only Tarrant
County employees with a specific SAP role have the SAP GUI software. For example, if you
create Purchase Requisitions, you will need to have the SAP GUI software on your PC.
Q) When I try to log into SAP, I get the following error: â Name or Password is
incorrect. Please re-enter.â
A) You have made a mistake on your User ID and/or password. Verify that you have entered
your User ID correctly. Your User ID is generally the first initial of your first name, first initial
of your second name, and first 10 characters of your last name. If you cannot remember your
password or need to have it reset, contact the IT Help Desk. Remember, your SAP GUI
password is the same as your ESS password
