Converting a Revit Family to AutoCAD using Revit 2010

If you have Revit available but are working in a project that is being done in AutoCAD, you can export the geometry from a Revit family to a DWG file, which you can use in your AutoCAD project. Begin by starting a project in Revit.

Use the Load Family button on the Insert tab to load the correct family and type into the Revit project.

Install is recommended for individual users or small groups. The key point is that you will repeat the installation process on each computer. This is the only valid installation type for a stand-alone license, but it can also be used with a multi-seat stand-alone or network license.
